I love how Lexi Ray has managed to keep true to her story line and then have her characters develop as if you personally know them. You did it again. I am captivated by this couple. The characters are layered and the mysteries keep on coming! I’m good at ruining things. But not so good at fighting my feelings for him. The ones that make it hard to breathe. That hurt. That burn me to the core at the memories of what we lost. He’s gotten too deep under my skin. And now that he pulled away, I’m craving him like I’m gasping for air. Author's note: Outcast is a dark steamy contemporary romance with dystopian vibes. It features mature themes and content that may not be suitable for all audiences. Reader discretion is advised. The book is part of duet and ends on a cliff. She makes me angry, gets under my skin, goes against the grain. But I can’t get her out of my mind.

They just are so . . . love deprived that they don't realize it or so stubborn that they don't see it for what it is (then again . . . there are many of us that can stare at love right in the eyes and not see it for what it is). Archer Crone is brilliant and powerful. He wears arrogance like a badge of honor, disguising acts of kindness like dirty secrets. But behind the cold mask is a man with a gentle heart that he hides from others. A beautiful heart that I stomped on. A heart that could’ve been mine, but I screwed it all up. Because of one night, four years ago. Because of the girl who took my heart in her gentle hands and never let go—Callie Mays. I did like this book more that the second one (this is number three) but I still didn’t really like it. It felt like the only plot development happened at the end when the author wanted to end on a cliffhanger.
