i remember reading this, like, a thousand years ago - and bless my poor innocent ya dystopian/fantasy, hunger games/divergent reading era soul - i was appalled- DISTURBED. While Michael struggles with his feelings for Rika and his desire for revenge, Rika tries to uncover the truth behind the Horsemen’s actions.He played the 'you-hurt-my-friends-we-will-take-revenge' card for years, and in the end, he attempted to assault/rape Rika with the help of his friends. She legit had 0 surface-level flaws (and don't tell me a 2 inch scar counts), she was 'chill', 'one of the guys', a rich innocent good girl who was secretly bad *dun dun dun*, could dance, fence, apparently a knife expert? But I did now, and inch by inch, my skin buzzed with anticipation as I turned to open to the shed door.
