The book, a critical and commercial success, garnered multiple American Library Association awards, a Michael L.Jas does the same right back, specialising in vicious kicks and passive-aggressive silent treatment, as well as making nasty digs about Georgia's reputation and morality. Robbie eventually dumps Lindsay, but tells Georgia that he should not date her because she is too young. Even though she went to the party dressed as a stuffed olive, the boy still seemed to keep an eye on her. Aaargh, I don't want all these books to inform me about disturbing sibling and cousinly relationships. Oblivious to Love: Georgia is oblivious to Dave's feelings for her, dismissing them as just him being a nice friend.

She treats her friends like trash and even when her friends forgive her after her begging for forgiveness, she does the same thing all over again. Noted for containing many "Georgia-isms" that have made their way into everyday language, such as "nunga-nungas" (breasts), "marvy" or "fabby" (anything Georgia likes) and "I'm away laughing on a fast camel" (goodbye).This is the first of a series and we are introduced to her mad little sister libby, her feral cat Angus, her Mum and Dad, and group of silly girlfriends.
