The National Trust and the joint developers Redrow Homes and Taylor Wimpey are working to create a development of 700 homes integrating sustainability principles and environmental performance.

The Stamford Brook development is located on greenfield land that forms part of the National Trust’s Dunham Massey Estate. The National Trust and the joint developers Redrow Homes and Taylor Wimpey are working to create a development of 700 homes that integrate sustainability principles and environmental performance. Existing woodland is being integrated into the scheme and a new community woodland resource is being planted on the western side of the development. This will form part of the ‘Red Rose Forest’ community forest and will introduce valuable habitats for wildlife typical of the area. There will also be a network of recreational routes linking the woodland with the wider countryside and Dunham Massey Estate.
