Dendrology, the study of trees, a science that has given us historical data about our global environment and forever-changing climate. BNG: The stories that come to mind are about narrowly escaping injuries from falling trees or tree branches. I visit a few bone yards that are filled with discarded trees, and friend’s occasional point me in the direction of a newly cut tree. Earlier stints include the American Film Institute, Clinton-Gore White House, and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. Some found objects find their way into a piece and others into the trash; depending on how long I’ve been staring at them.
