OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I am not really sure how this series just got better!?! But it is freakin awesome!!! I just LOVED it soooo much!!! This is the second book in the “Twisted” series and I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED!! Literally, this is one of my favorite books this year!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ It has your princess/bodyguard and grumpy/sunshine tropes with forbidden romance, steam, angst to die for and a slow burn romance. I could read this book over and over and over again!! A MILLION ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!! BRIDGET ahhh my princess. Without spoiling anything about the changes in Bridget's life apart from the obvious, I must say that I really like this woman. That's not news, I like all Ana Huang women, the men are the problem for me. I liked Bridget more than I did Ava, her chapters were a breath of fresh air. To be completely honest with you, I liked her a lot, but I can't really explain to you why because she didn't have much substance, just like the rest of the character cast. Rhys painted her from a whole different perspective, but I loved her descriptions as much as I did reading from her POV. I wish we got more explanation on her career, I would love to have seen her do something unrelated to her romantic relationship. Also, her relationship with her brother Nikolai wasn't the best, having her trauma bond with him would make this book so much better in my opinion. She is the object of his darkest desires and remains an enigma he can’t figure out. When the opportunity arises for him to get closer to her, he breaks his rules and offers her a deal that she cannot refuse. Every monster has a weakness, and she is his. She becomes his obsession, his addiction, and the one person he makes an exception. Ever.Rereading my favourite twisted book AND favourite romance book has to be the best decision I’ve made in a while… like the joy and happiness I felt while rereading this is surreal!! Rhys and Bridget will always be one of my favourite couples of all time and I honestly can’t get enough of them!!

I can’t imagine a better duo than a lawyer and a doctor. It’s awesome. They just are there to talk with each other like in the library with Tanya’s death, or at the Picnic trying to get Josh to finally move on with Alex, also when Josh finally went to go see his father and Jules was there for him. That’s all the matters just being there for someone and I think that’s what makes them so good together. And the chemistry between them is fantastic. Anyways I love Josh and Jules 🤍 What makes it worse is the fact Ana in no way a feminist because if she was she wouldn’t promote this monstrosity of work.

I also love how at the end they actually talked about not getting married yet because they want to work on building their careers and even tho they seem like the most immature couple that makes them the most mature couple. Putting their careers first especially when they’ve worked so hard to get to where they are. And their careers are a little more difficult and time consuming than others. Whilst they were necessary to the story, I did not like the way it was handled initially. It interrupted the flow of the story for me. There was no natural progression into the time jump - it was just abrupt and the reader was just expected to go along with it. Ava Chen is a person who likes to be free and not tied down.
