Build quality is something that KRK has always done pretty well. The way these monitors are designed has been thought about. They come with a high-density foam pad. This takes the speaker away from the surface and does a good job of reducing any vibration. Every newly made ROKIT in the G4 series has onboard room tuning, which means you can adapt it to the specific space in which it is being used. In addition, the new KRK app allows you to analyze the acoustics of the room. This enables you to simply work out the placement, angle and EQ settings for the room. You don’t even need to be an audio engineer or know a lot about music tech to do this. The brand also claims that this is the only monitor in this price range and class that has an LCD EQ, which lets you see the settings in action. Thus making these almost worse than useless for me, as I was looking for a pair of speakers that could sit on my desk about a meter away from my head. Yes I know these speakers would have been a bit big for that application but I wanted larger speakers for a better bass response at low volumes. The hiss is audible till about a 2 meters away. There is no set up process involved with these speakers and they are ready to go right away. You can even have them beside your screen or monitor without worrying about the magnets messing up your screen. When I turn these speakers up all the way it still sounds very clean and clear. The bass response is amazing and is probably the sole reason why many people choose to go with the G2 monitors. I have used many other KRK monitors before and all of them are pretty much the same to me except when you start to spend a little more money on them they start sounding a little more crisp in the mid section. But, rather than just leave it at that standard iconic yellow color, the Rokit 8 has mellowed it out, creating a somewhat more subdued and less overbearing look when compared to the previous generation’s.
The studio reference monitors also have a very generous sweet spot to play with, making them a great option for producers that like to move their speakers around often. For beginners that don’t know of the various intricacies of powered studio monitor placement, the KRK audio tools app feature can have them perfectly station their speakers on the first try.Before I buy these beasts, I went through 10’s of you tube videos to know whether they will be a good addition to my studio. I found allot of controversy, but I’ve decided to get them and decide for my self.

True to the KRK name, these front-facing port speakers come with that signature yellow woofer that is beloved by both, professionals and beginners alike. Large 8" speaker goes really low and you can not only hear but feel the bass. They do not lose the balance when playing audio loudly, home parties will be taken to next level (joke, but if you wanted to, neighbours will enjoy music as well)
