About this deal

Aiden and Ivy shared a past together, since when they were kids they were best friends and yet now that they were attending the same university, Ivy pretended not to know Aiden or didn’t acknowledge him. Mainly the heroine overcoming her difficult past and really trying to figure out a life for herself.

This book was truly an amazing read, and while there are certain other sports romances that were great, this one really dug deep into the emotional and mental aspects of what Ivy experienced. Haha but seriously the description of Aiden had me like, “damnnnn he’s tall”, plus with all the sports romances books I find myself always gravitating towards, it was no surprise I found myself crushing on Aiden. It's an ok read so I wouldn't discourage you from giving it a go but I won't be adding it to my read again list!

Then you pair that with Ivy’s unique back story and character development and you have an all-out home run character.

She was born and raised in upstate New York where she still resides with her four-legged feline sidekick, Oliver "Ollie" Queen. She is also the most honest representation of someone who had to struggle to survive and dealt with depression. She escaped a family that treated her like a nuisance, freely flourishing attention and money on her younger brother because he was deemed worthy.

When she’s not writing, she’s working out, binge-watching reality game shows, and spending time with her friends and family. It's so funny when I checked out my friends' reviews on this book, one person love both Aiden and Ivy, one person hates both of them, one person hates Ivy more. Admittedly this won't be for everyone, our heroine does suffer from self harm and it didn't fully go into the details as some might want it to, it was glossed over not making that the full focus of this book and I was ok with that. At age 16, Ivy runs away from a home where she feels no longer welcome, where her parents struggle with financial issues, where the cops are a constant presence after her parents fight and her mother verbally abd emotionally abuses her. B. Celeste took us to a soul-stirring journey about a young woman in finding redemption, family, and love during rock bottom.

Our Non-Fiction Range includes: Academic, Photography, Audio books, Business, Cook Books, Craft Books, Health and Fitness Books, Mind, Body, Spirit (Tarot). I found Ivy to be a strong female character because, with her flaws and fears, I found her to be real and not fake. When Skylar Allen decided to move across the country for college, she thought it'd be the perfect chance to reinvent herself.

he kinda just waltz back into her life and was like ”yup youre mine and you gotta tell me everything” like bitch?

Seeing Aiden reach out to Ivy and try befriending her again made me nostalgic for them because, them having known each other since they were kids showed that long ago they were each other’s support system. Aiden was a boy that you could count on him and he was the world to Ivy, even though she didn't want to admit it!It’s easy to listen to because it's written in (mostly) feminine first person with a smooth female narrator.
