Damo For games like Streets of Rage 3 and Dynamite Headdy (and possibly some others) is there the option to change the region? Apparently this is available on the PC/Xbox One/PS4 version, but didn't see any mention of this in your review. I only want 5 games out of this whole list. I was little younger when these came out so I didn't play them. I only want to play the phantasy stars and shining force since i remember emulating those and playing them. The rest I'm good. I’ll put myself out there and say that this is the best emulator for Mac users as it feels most like other native programs on the operating system. 5. In the screenshot of the room, the shelves where all the games are being stored has a very noticeably empty bottom shelf... Do you think there's a chance that additional games could come into the collection at a later date? Or perhaps that was a plan originally, but it got pulled? Still, it’s pretty fast as it is, with games running at 60FPS. It’s perfect for glitch-free gameplay of all the best Sega Mega Drive games as well as the best Master System games and a whole host of other Sega consoles. I have this already (PS3) and their is zero incentive for me to double dip (I don't need to play these on the go). If Sega had included multiple versions of their arcade ports the way SNK did with their compilation, I would have gladly bought this on day one. It was not a good game (at least on the MD/Genesis), and it would have made more sense to replace it with Eternal Champions. I'm curious to know how difficult it would be to emulate the SVP chip. Virtua Racing was always a fun game, even though it is certainly dated by today's standards. It might be sitting at Number 4, but OpenEMU is one of the best looking programs in our list of the best Sega Mega Drive emulators. I mean, just look at it! It’s like the iTunes of emulation, for crying out loud. OpenEmu is basically a better-looking, less well known version of RetroArch. It uses the same Sega Genesis Plus GX core as RA and does pretty much the same thing. Virtual Console on an original Wii, which is perfect (not the Wii part of the Wii U ! It's broken !) I hope an update will be forthcoming to rectify this. If not, Nigel will face many, many deaths before he gets even close to the end of the game. Where Mednafen falls down in comparison to RetroArch is that it’s a little bit ‘dodgy’ at times. The latest build has a few problems that, while a little annoying, can easily be rectified with a few adjustments if you have the time and will.

Users aldo need BIOS files if they want to play games on Mednafen, which might put it out of reach of newbies heading to the emulation scene for the first time.
