Lionizer's name seems to be a pun on the word "ionize(r)", given his transformation into an "atom smashing" cannon. However, these ‘Battle Masters’ despite being quite small still seem a little too large and hence unwieldy in the hands of the normal sized characters of the Siege line, especially when the accompanying blast effects are attached. Sadly no new colors or paint apps reveal themselves in this mode, but then again most of the other Battle Masters are fairly plain in terms of colors in weapon mode so Lionizer is hardly an outlier.

Interestingly, Lionizer did originally transform into a gun when he was first released with the ‘Action Master’ (an odd range of non-transforming Transformers? Bubble wrap is still used for fragile items and some preowned toys but the majority of our parcels use brown kraft paper.
