Kudos to SoundPEATS as the T2 were released at a time when ANC wasn't universally seen on TWS let alone performing. Whilst the Tronsmart Apollo Bold, Edifier TWS NB2, FIIL T1 Pro and TaoTronics SoundLiberty 94 all offered it in this form factor, the T2 perform pretty well at a fraction of the price of the first two and with better availability than the third, so if your primary goal is a budget ANC bud and you don't mind the ergonomics, the T2 are a solid choice. Highs showed, as well, a very good retuning potential with an EQ, adding a much more detailed and brighter sound. ANC is strong for the money, and at the price point they are a solid addition to your earbud collection, with good sound, calls, controls, battery life, and all the basics accounted for.
Now there is only one problem with this. When you take the buds out, the case will not stay upright with the lid open. Let's start at the beginning. Goods - such as the SOUNDPEATS products you buy - can't simply be shipped freely from country to country. When goods are imported into a different country or customs territory, there is a charge called Customs Duty that must apply. This is charged by the local customs authority where the goods are being imported into. I’m willing to overlook it because of the great overall sound. There’s some mid-range clarity that can be difficult to hear. Now the sound stage is the second area. They got it almost right for me, but it’s just not very big. There’s totally a clear separation between left and right channels, but they just never really get a sound stage that kind of goes outside the boundaries of my head it’s still decent, but it’s not the best that I’ve heard. Yes, you can move the volume up and down by tapping the right or left earbud, respectively, and all the controls are touch based. With some tip rolling, the soundstage can feel more spaced out in certain scenarios due to auditory masking, so I recommend going through your tips to get the right sound. The SoundPEATS T2 offer good sound quality for the price. Overall, they sound fairly well rounded and balanced for a pair of wireless earbuds, the treble, mid and bass is all present and isn’t outweighing or fighting for airtime between one another. The earbuds are powered by 12mm drivers which offer good stereo separation for providing an immersive listening experience to both music and visual content such as YouTube videos, TV shows and movies. The earbuds offer a well-balanced sound for the price.
How to connect the Earbuds to a Phone
The SoundPEATS T2 puts most of its effort into the lower frequencies - it sounds deep and full in these areas. There's a mid-bass thump, with a nicely rumbling sub-bass you can feel in songs that pave the way for it, like James Blake's test case Limit to Your Love. Both the mid-bass and sub-bass aren't the tightest or most textured, and when multiple basslines come together, things can even get a little muddy. Eventhough the Soundpeats T2 is Bass heavy e arbud i prefer the bass of the Fiil T1 Pro and Fiil’s sound signature which is greater than the T2 The SOUNDPEATS T2 adopts an advanced chip to provide stable, fast and reliable connection without distortion. The SoundPEATS real ace up their sleeve though is their active noise cancelling which is actually remarkably good - very VERY close to the Sony WF1000XM3's. That's one hell of a compliment because the Sony's are amongst the very best anc TWS earbuds out there at the moment. I tried them out on a trip to my local supermarket and found that the ANC does a very good job of eliminating excessive outside noise. Whilst it could still be heard (just like with all other ANC headphones I’ve tried), once the music started playing - even at low levels - the outside noises effectively vanished. One problem I did experience though was a considerable amount of wind noise with the ANC on. Many ANC headphones suffer with this problem - so the SoundPeats aren’t on their own here. When the left Soundpeats T2 earbud is placed into the charging case, the first LED indicator flashes, which means the left earbud in charging status.But the Active noise canceling performance of Soundpeats T2 is much better than the Earfun Free Pro. However, Earfun’s Sounding is better here. Compared to the Soundpeats T2 Earfun has more engaging Bass which once again benefits the active person. The SOUNDPEATS T2 are a very affordable alternative for users who want a TWS with Active Noise Cancelling, Passthrough and touch controls. Furthermore, the non-boosted sub-bass will allow them to be less-prone to present an excessively bass-centered sound signature and/or “bass-drowning” sound issues.
Soundpeats H1 is simply fantastic in terms of the Sound Quality, and the sound quality is pristine and high quality. Battery life has been great. I wanted to see just how long these would last with my normal several hours per day listening schedule. After the first charge, I used them starting on a Saturday afternoon all the way to the middle of the next Thursday without recharging the case. This was with 4 – 6 hour average per day listening, with extra time where they were in my ears on standby when I needed to concentrate but didn’t want to have to put the earbuds away. I usually charge my earbuds every night so it’s not very often that I would need to go almost a week between full charges but it’s nice to know I could for a camping trip, for a prolonged power outage, or some other time when I just don’t need to think about needing to charge them. I have a policy when reviewing the less expensive headphones out there. I don't think it's generally fair to compare them with the more expensive models and when awarding marks out of ten I do like to take their price into account.The AirReps156X also allows you to enable Low Latency mode, but I can see why SoundPeats didn’t include it. On Android, the connectivity suffers quite a bit such that holding my phone around its Bluetooth modem causes several dropouts. to call your assistant triple tap on either side of the earbuds, and it will pause your media and pull out your assistant The earbuds themselves are quite large but surprisingly comfortable and stay put in my ears very well. They have an ergonomic negative profile - the issue is more into how much they protrude out of your ears than the fit. Therefore they are not ideal for sleeping with or wearing a hat over. On the T2, SoundPEATS rolls of the highs much earlier. Both female and higher-pitched male vocals sound forward, but don't really extend into the highs. They do not sound as full as the lower frequencies, and higher voices can appear a bit thin. Instruments don't dive into the highs much either: piano keys, trumpets, cymbals, even the guitars in Rage Against the Machine's Killing In the Name Of sound warmer than natural.
