About this deal

Product Description: On April 20th 1992, Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon, the surviving members of Queen, took to the stage at Wembley Stadium for the start of one of the biggest events in rock history, which the band had organised to pay tribute to their former colleague the incomparable Freddie Mercury. In May 2020, Queen announced that they would be premiering the concert on YouTube to raise money for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. As always, the band leaves the stage for the operatic section but as the rock bit begins, we are thrown back in our seats as Axl Rose runs out like a madman and shatters the eardrums of many with his shrieking um.

As far as missing performances are concerned, if you take the time to check them out on Youtube, you'll probably find out that, in most cases, there truly is not much to be missed. Featuring David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, John Deacon, Def Leppard, Guns 'n' Roses, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Seal, Robert Plant, Paul Young and Zucchero.I wonder if anyone ever noticed that Queen used the ending of "You're My Best Friend" to end the song? They recorded just one more song after that, "No One But You", the only Queen song to have had no input from Freddie at all. The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness was a benefit concert held on Easter Monday, 20 April 1992, at Wembley Stadium in London, England, for an audience of 72,000.

Elizabeth Taylor then gave an AIDS prevention speech, which was followed by a compilation of Mercury's various interactions with audiences. On 24 June 2013, Queen announced on their Facebook page that a new remastered version of the concert would be released in late 2013 on DVD and Blu-ray. Come join the discussion about collections, displays, models, styles, amps, modifications, kits, reviews, accessories, classifieds, and more! Regardless, for the quality alone I recommend purchasing the DVD BUT keep your VHS copies as it has more of the songs.Assuming the concert was filmed on tape, as opposed to digitally, which would have been standard at the time, this could be rescanned in HD. This is an interesting development in presenting SD material on Blu Ray but so far I have purchased 2 (the Bee Gees being the other) and have been very pleased with both. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.
