This book was boring through the first part, almost 30% in, and I put it down cz I was bored out of my mind. And I think the reason for that was the insta-love/lust between them.

And then he repeats all those things the men in previous series I read from Geissinger did. And things in the first 30% of the book were just repeating the previous series. That same insta-lust from men and that same insta-love from women. It would've been so much better and 5 stars if it took a little more time for them to fall for each other(in other words, if it wasn't just insta love and lust) In “Ruthless Creatures,” the characters of Natalie and Kage show dynamic growth throughout the story. Natalie, a middle school art teacher, is portrayed as strong and resilient, even after going through the traumatic experience of losing her fiancé. She captures readers’ hearts with her sassy humor and fiery spirit.

I have an obsession with JT Geissinger's words. The woman has created some of my absolute favorite alphas and some of my favorite heroines. She's the queen of banter and uber alphas. And I love me some uber alphas. The fast-paced action and dangerous mafia world created by J.T. Geissinger has captivated readers, who are eager to explore this universe further and dive into the rest of the series. Another strength of the novel is its strong heroine, Natalie, whose humor and sassy nature have endeared her to many readers. Cons While the physical connection was excellently done(I didn't know this author had that in her head 😂)I confess I didn't QUITE get the "love" between the mcs which admittedly lowered my rating a tiny tiny bit. Until a stranger comes rolling into town and buys the house beside hers with a suitcase full of cash. Her head tells her to run in the other direction, but he's got his sights on her and he's not letting her out of his clutches.
