There was no point to it and took away all the mystery and intensity. I wish she’d used his POV with more intent. (I do appreciate that we started with the h, tho) Given how his meetings often go, I wouldn’t be surprised if that floor has seen more dead bodies than a morgue, but today, there are no signs of impending bloodshed. This book is the first book I've ever read by Gabrielle and she had exceeded my expectations so although I really don't like using Goodreads , I HAD to leave a review cuz this book is WOW .

When she ran after what she did to save herself and a girl who would of been the next victim - I somehow knew that wherever she ended up it would be connected to why the girl was kidnapped in the first place and I was right.

Valentina is feisty and catches Damiano’s attention in his nightclub in Ibiza. The chemistry between the two is sooo good. I really enjoyed the premise of this book. We get to meet Valentina and what is going on in her life and it's not good. She was forced to marry her father's best soldier and during the 2 months they were married he made her do horrific acts that will never leave her. I was horrified when it was described and especially how her mother/father knew about it all and what she was being forced to do and yet they didn't care and believed it to be his wifely duties.

Gio and Martina’s love story is a bit of a slow burn, but the wait was well worth it! The chemistry and tension between these two had me dying for the steamy bits to hurry up and happen, but lord they didn’t disappoint when they finally did. Gio has quite the filthy mouth!It’s ridiculous that after everything that’s happened recently, receiving criticism from her still feels like a sharp sting. It’s so ridiculous, and I can’t help but laugh. My youngest sister has always been the most rebellious out of the three of us. It used to worry me. Now, I hope she won’t let Mamma dim that spark. “I give it a week, at most, before the prison sentence is over. Man, I love it when the FMC calls the MMC out in his tomfoolery.
