It's such a great reference, and I think all personal trainers, whether they're just starting out, or in the business twenty years, should read this book. I love how BADASS the FMC is, but not only how badass she is (and knows she is), but the fact that the 3 love interests also know how badass she is and that her ability to kick ass and protect herself is never questioned by the men. Starting with what to consider if you are just starting the process of becoming and trainer and how to progress through your career. Some of the ideas and concepts I was already familiar with, but I also found a few gems and some new ways to approach my business. The lessons in here are foundational but perishable skills needed to succeed in an ever evolving practice. He discusses getting along with others at work, the importance of personal down time and development, and how to know when you are pushing too hard.

Right off the bat I loved Riona, she was a strong and witty woman who was living a double life, she’s a bad*ss character who I’m sure we can all relate to in some way. Unfortunately, Karen Chance’s move to independent publishing has come at the cost of the audiobook - so necessary to those of us with visual impairment. I think this book would be especially useful for individuals just starting out with personal training, or those who have the training side down but have neglected the business side. Sadly, while providing good trainer advice, it was advertised as a go-to guide for wannabe online trainers.

It was so well written, had a nice and steady flow in it and the action scenes and the smutty scenes where just spot on througout the book. Everything I needed to know was laid out and quickly put me on par or even ahead of colleagues who had already been in the industry for a few years.
